Are your cutting boards food-safe?
Yes. Our boards are finished with food-grade mineral oil and our own in-house beeswax paste — no varnish, no stain, nothing that leaches into food. They're solid hardwood throughout. Re-oil them now and then and the finish stays food-safe for the life of the board.
How do I care for and re-oil a wood cutting board?
Hand-wash with warm water and a little mild soap, then towel-dry and stand it up to finish drying — never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. When the wood starts to look dry, re-oil with a food-safe mineral oil and follow with a beeswax paste. Cared for this way, an end-grain board lasts for decades.
What wood and materials do you use?
Wall art is layered 3mm Baltic birch plywood, laser-cut and either sealed with a protective finish or hand-painted. Boards are solid hardwood — walnut, maple, and cherry — sanded from 80 to 400 grit and finished with food-safe mineral oil and our own beeswax paste. We source our hardwood through local Southern California lumber yards.
How quickly will my order ship?
Many pieces are in stock and ready to ship. Others are made to order in our Southern California workshop, cut and finished by hand. Either way, most orders ship within 2–3 business days. If you need something by a specific date, email us before ordering and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Can I personalize a piece with a name or date?
Many pieces can be personalized with names, dates, or custom text — look for the personalization options on the product page and add your details before checkout. Want something fully custom or commissioned? Email us and we'll see what we can do.
How much is shipping?
Orders over $100 ship free; otherwise it's a flat $8, shipped via USPS within the US with tracking emailed the moment your label is created. Shipping outside the US? You'll find us on Etsy, where we ship internationally.
What's your return policy?
In-stock items can be returned within 14 days — email us first, then send them back unused and in original condition for a refund or exchange (return shipping is on you for a change of mind). Personalized and custom-made pieces are made just for you, so those are final sale. Either way, if something arrives damaged or not as described, email us and we’ll make it right at no cost to you.
